BIBLE VERSES: Readings From The Bible, That Have Inspired Me.

Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, by the new and living way that he opened for us through the curtain, that is, through his flesh, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with our hearts sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul.

Only be strong and very courageous, being careful to do according to all the law that Moses my servant commanded you. Do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may have good success wherever you go.

St. Thomas Aquinas lived from 1225 to 1274, a time in which theologians and philosophers debated the relationship between faith and reason. St. Thomas Aquinas would write some of the most important Catholic works during this period, clarifying what it meant to have faith in Jesus and how to experience that faith in everyday life.

I never knew that the bible has the power to change your mindset and improve your life. I have a colleague who feels like the pandemic has robbed him of everything in life. Maybe he should try visiting a nearby church to get started.

Thank you, Lord, that you have been sending us your promises from the very beginning of time. Thank you for your faithfulness, as you give the definition of faithful a true meaning. You have never and will never break a promise. Time and time again throughout all Scripture, you promise to lead us and guide us, to never leave us, nor forsake us. Thank you that you have already paved a way and wherever we are sitting in this very moment, you are near us and one step ahead of us.

Thank you so much for your service to the Lord by spreading his truth, where we find and share peace, hope, strength and joy that comes from his living word. You have encouraged me during a time of anxiety and pain.I am healed by his stripes. It is finished!God bless you!

In the modern world, joy is something we experience that is deeper and more meaningful. Happiness is something we feel because of our situation or circumstances. We are happy because something made us happy, but we are joyful because of something within us. Our desires often lead our happiness. The world tells us that we can only be happy if our situation is right. There is a sense of gentleness in some of the verses. But we can look at Hollywood and see many instances of this not being true. Many people that have everything they could ever want are not happy. And, on the other hand, many people have little in life but have a true joy that comes from deep within. When you study Bible verses about happiness, you will find how to experience true happiness.

The bible talks about righteousness. In John 10:10, Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life and have it to the full." What do quotes like this mean? We are not meant to merely make it through life. We are supposed to live life to the fullest. What does that look like? It's happy and joyful. We are not supposed to simply be alive in the sense that our heart is beating, and we have breath in our lungs. We are supposed to have a life that we enjoy.

You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. Read More

Honestly i have been looking for suitable methods in studying the bible and i believe that this is the best i have found so far. God bless you and continue to give you knowledge and understanding of him.

I have received full payment and have more than enough. I am amply supplied, now that I have received from Epaphroditus the gifts you sent. They are a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God.

Everyone has been given gifts from God. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of this fact and consider what we have. You commonly see people putting money into possessions and treasures of the present age. However, we need to think of serving others and how that supplies seed for the kingdom of God.

I do not believe that the Bible teaches a literal tithe. I am a Christian, and I tithed for years out of my before tax income, and God did bless me. There is no question. And, I certainly believe in the concepts of first fruits, giving offerings to the church and to those in need, but tithing to a church is like allowing the government to provide for the needs of the poor. It separates us from the actual act of giving. Also, to try to keep these tithes purely to the church is cruel and, again, not Biblical. Look at the huge churches that have been built around this country and compare that to the modest synagogue where Christ taught.

I write to encourage followers of Jesus Christ. For those that have made the decision to put their trust in Jesus - who died on the cross to pay the price for sin and rose from the grave and we now trust in Him as the Lord and Savior of our life. If you have not received God's gift of salvation, I invite you to repent of your sin and believe in Jesus today. Repent means to turn away from sin. This doesn't mean you'll never struggle with sin, it means you no longer love or pursue sin but instead, submit to Jesus as your Lord and King. To believe in Jesus means that you rely on Him. You rely on His perfect sinless life He lived for you, you rely on His death as sufficient payment for your sin, and you rely on His resurrection as evidence that He is the Son of God that defeated and conquered sin and death for you and me! For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. Therefore encourage one another with these words.
